2020年4月11日に、久しぶりに大阪伊丹空港に航空機離着陸を撮影するために出向いたのですが、その際に目撃した伊丹空港の現在の光景はある意味衝撃的で、航空業界の置かれた苦境を凝縮しているように思えました。ご存知の航空ファンの皆様も多いかと思いますが、東京羽田⇔大阪伊丹線において日中の閑散時間帯にエンブラエルE190（95人乗り）が暫定的に就航しています。対象期間が当初よりも延長され、2020年4月8日～19日にJL117便（東京羽田12：30発→大阪伊丹13：35着）及びJL120便（大阪伊丹14：30→東京羽田15：40）に就航することになっています。
羽田⇔伊丹線といえば国内便を代表する基幹路線でありドル箱路線、しかも閑散時間帯とはいえこれまではボーイング787-8や767-300ERといった、定員250～290人クラスの機材が運航を担ってきました。その路線に、暫定的とはいえ、小型機材であるエンブラエルE190が入るというのは、極めて異例の事態です。例えるなら大型バスを用いてきた路線をワンボックスカーに切り替えるようなものです。これが、もしも平時に何らかの事情で起こった出来事であれば「珍事」とか「レア」な代替機就航として見ることもできますが、今は緊急事態宣言が発令されている非常時であり、それをある意味象徴するような小型機就航として、不安な気持ちしか起こりません。しかも、前後の便も欠航しているにもかかわらず小型機で何とか事足りてしまうというのは、いかに今の航空需要が極度に落ち込んでいるかを如実に示していると言えますし、コロナショックが航空業界に及ぼす影響はさらに拡がる恐れもあり、前途は険しいと言わざるを得ません。
航空業界のみならず、あらゆる産業が危機に瀕するのは確実と言われています。国による実効力のある支援策の実施が早急に求められます。そして、人類の英知を結集して特効薬の開発に成功し、一日も早くコロナ危機が収束することを願ってやみません。
なお、同じ時間帯に運航されているANAのNH25及びNH30の映像も収録しています。こちらはエアバスA320あるいはA321にて運航されています。
